Overview

The Work

Inside wiremen from IBEW Local 110 install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems across commercial, institutional, and residential projects throughout St. Paul and the east metro. Work ranges from pulling wire and bending conduit in new construction to upgrading panels and troubleshooting circuits in existing buildings. You'll work on hospitals, schools, office buildings, and industrial facilities in Ramsey, Washington, and surrounding east metro counties — a separate jurisdiction from Local 292 on the west side.

Day One as an Apprentice

Your first day on the job you'll report to a job site and meet your journeyman partner. Expect to spend the first weeks learning job-site safety, blueprint reading, and basic conduit bending. You'll start with plenty of physical work — pulling wire, running conduit, hauling materials — while watching and learning from experienced journeymen.
